Feedback from Spree in the Borders 2009

Spree was brilliant. We had fantastic weather unlike last year when we were knee deep in mud!!

The sun shone and the water activities were a real hit. The team pulled together well infact so well that we were able to sit and relax and enjoy it for the most part of the weekend. Our young peoples speaker did a fantastic job Andrew and Sarah Phillips from Manchester Schools Work ran the under 12s very exciting programme which included lots of games, singing, learning about people who discovered Jesus and a gunge tank!! Our 12+ programme was Stephen Riley from YFC North East. with his great sense of wit and communication skills he won over his "audience" in no time at all. He had them eating out of his hands!!

Our band leading worship was Innonimate, our young people from Kirkby Lonsdale Urban Saints who under the guidence of Greg Levers they did a fantastic job.

We had over 30 young people who responded to the message of "who is this man" and some rededication of leaders.

It was a fantastic weekend we thank God for the great weather, for good fun, for safety, good team spirit amongst all the various teams present and unity. We praise Him for these new lives in Him and for the many who left knowing more about Jesus, we know they ALL left having had a fantastic time.

We pray for those young people for whom through an encounter with Jesus, life will be different, we pray that today they will KNOW the presence of Jesus with them and we pray for their leaders that they will be given widom, energy and understanding as they seek ways to help these youn people to grow in faith. I could go on...............

Charilie can you think of anything else? Apart from praying for the man on the tannoy and his peculiar sense of humour and that woman who kept her car companion waiting for over 2 hours while she looked for her car keys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
